The Pumpkin Life-Cycle
It's all about life-cycles!
We discussed how a pumpkin grows and changes.
Here are some pictures of the pumpkin life-cycle.
We put these photographs in order from seed to adult pumpkin.
After reading about how a pumpkin grows from a seed,
we planted our own pumpkin seeds.
We are going to watch them grow!
So exciting!
We recorded our observations in our science journals.
Grow little pumpkin seed, GROW!
Next, we used picture cards to make our own pumpkin
life-cycle flow map.
On Friday, we made a fun pumpkin life-cycle craft.
I think the kids were more interested in the hot glue gun that
I used to glue their seed and plate on their vines...
then they were the actual craft.
I can't wait for the cooling and melting lessons
in Science. I know just what to use! :)
