Let's say NO to DRUGS!!

Addition Fun!

All About Addition

We are learning how to solve
addition story problems.
Check out some of our
activities from the week:

Meet "Addition Addy"
She is a fancy plus sign that helps us join two numbers.
We learned different words that relate to addition.

We read "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." Then, we used those characters
and "cookie" counters (cereal) to add numbers.
The kids loved it!

Name Puzzles

We are working on letters and sounds.
We made name puzzles to check out how many letters
our friends had in their names.
We practiced putting our names back together too!
So fun!

Love to Write!

We are working on writing personal narratives stories.
We loved writing about our birthdays, families, and events.

We are learning how to sketch and plan out our stories.

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

We had a BLAST at the Pumpkin Patch!
Check out all of our fun!

Red shirts ROCK!

We loved weighing and measuring the pumpkins.

We felt a gourd and compared it to the pumpkins.

We made a jack'o'latern too!

We explored how pumpkins can sink and float.

LOVE my little pumpkins!

We went into the hay maze and found fun words!
The hayride was the best!!!

Technology in the Classroom

We rocked our technology project this 9-weeks!
One of my goals is to try and get technology into our classroom
each 9-weeks to enhance our learning!

This last week we used the app, Number Rack, to make numbers.
If you haven't tried it, it's great for our K-Kids! They loved it!
We can use a digital rekenrek to make numbers.

I like to know if the kids liked something...so here is my quick survey.

Most of them liked it! We will try it again! :)
