Stone Soup

What a great way to end the week!!!

We read the old folktale Stone Soup.
After reading, we retold the story using pictures.
Then, we each got a (super-clean) stone.
What did we do next???

We made our own STONE SOUP!
I love cooking with my class!

Check out our amazing cooking skills:

Add the water

and the (super-clean) stones...

Pick out the vegetables...

Add some carrots....

How about some corn, green beans, peas, potatoes, tomatoes....

Salt and Pepper

Stir...

Stir more...

Keep stirring....

YUM!
We cooked our soup all day.
Those veggies smelled awesome!

Next, we create all of the ingredients for our soup using construction paper.

We added those creations to our pot.
Then, we interactively wrote labels for the ingredients.
Lots of good letter and blended sounds being practiced!

Time to eat!!!!

Lynne likes Stone Soup!
