We need JUNK!

Parents,

We need some JUNK!!!

Kindergarten is working on some projects for Open House.
We need some good “junk” for a project we are constructing.
If you could help your child collect some of these items and send them in a plastic bag to school by Friday, March 1st, we would be very grateful!

Some good “junk” would be:

·        Coke can tabs
·        water bottle lids
·        yarn
·        buttons
·        soda can plastic 6-pack rings (holds together soda cans)
·        fabric strips or swatches
·        old/broken jewelry
·        beads
·        ribbon
·        milk caps
·        keys
·        charms
·        shoe laces
·        paperclips
·        marbles
·        rubber bands
·        small metal washers
·        Legos

Any small, useless items lying around your house---we will take it and use it!

Movement Webs

In Science, we created different webs of things that can move a certain way. Each group shared their web with the class.

The Mitten by Jan Brett

During Reader's Workshop, we discussed and learned all about Jan Brett. She is amazing! Our class read about her animal characters, outdoor settings, and how she illustrates her books with beautiful frames.

We read many of her stories like, The Mitten, The Hat, The Gingerbread Baby, and Gingerbread Friends.

We sewed our own mittens and retold Jan Brett's story to our friends. Check out our fun activities!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day!
We enjoyed making our bags, passing out our cards,
and sorting and graphing sweet treats!

A BIG thank you to our fabulous Room Mom, Shea Santone,
for a great party! We had a blast! Happy Valentine's Day to all of you!
