Run, run as fast as you can!
You can't catch me...
I'm the Gingerbread Man!

Last week was all about the Gingerbread Man!
We read so many different stories about him and his friends.
Take a look at our posters:

We made gingerbread men and wrote out the recipe
of ingredients that you will need.

Here is our winter bulletin board:

We had a blast going on our gingerbread hunt!
Arriving in our classroom, we found these crumbles, this note,
and a book about a Gingerbread Man who got loose in the school.

Finally, we found them! They returned to our classroom.
Those tricky little cookies!

Composing and Decomposing Numbers

We are working on composing and decomposing numbers.
Check out our domino match game.
My kiddos did a great job of finding dominoes that
match the corresponding number. We learned that
each domino has two numbers that add up to compose
a larger number.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We want to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Here are some activities we did to learn and celebrate
this tradition:

We made a list of things we are thankful for.

We learned about the First Thanksgiving with the Pilgrims
and Native American Indians.
We retold the story using a retelling bracelet.

We read a funny story about 3 silly turkeys.

Then, we retold the beginning, middle, and end
of the story using pictures.

We made "thankful" placemats for our Thanksgiving
celebrations.

Friday afternoon, we enjoyed a classroom family
Thanksgiving feast before leaving for break.
We are so thankful for each other!
This is one happy classroom! :)

We used different turkey pictures and worked with a partner
to come up with funny captions for the pictures.
