Parents,
We have a busy week ahead of us! It's going to be fun though! Here are just a few reminders...
1.. Next
Wednesday, February 6th is the 100th day of school, which means tons
of FUN!!! We would love to have your child dress up for the day! Your child can
either dress up like he/she is 100 years old or create a shirt that has 100
things on it!
If your
child would like to dress up like he/she is 100 years old, here are some
suggestions:
*Girls: Printed
skirt, pearls, eyeglasses on the nose, sweater, red lipstick, wig or curled
hairstyle, gray hairspray (baby powder works well for gray hair as well), knee
high stockings, large purse, scarf, walking cane, etc.
*Boys:
Buttoned
down shirt, flannel shirt, suspenders, tie, eyeglasses, drawn on mustache or
beard, gray hairspray or baby powder, walking cane, etc.
If your
child would like to make a t-shirt that has 100 things glued on it, here are
some suggestions...
*You can
write or paint 100 Days of School and glue 100 buttons, beads, cotton balls,
etc. The trick is to keep the item as light as possible. You don't want to use
anything heavy like pennies because it will wear the t-shirt down. Be as
creative as you want!! :)
It’s going
to be a fun filled day and we are looking forward to celebrating 100 days of
school!! :) If you have any questions, please let me know and I can help!
:)
2. We are
also in need of some things for the 100th day to make trail mix. Our
class is responsible for Chex
Mix and
Goldfish. To make it
easy so that we can have enough, I’m asking for the girls to bring a bag of
Chex
Mix and the
boys to bring a box of
Goldfish. Thank you
for your help!
3. 100 items for Science--your child will need to collect 100 items to fill a brown paper sack. These items can come from around the house! For example, you can use pennies, paperclips, macaroni, beans, etc. ANYTHING GOES--as long as it fits inside the sack.
Please help your child count these items and place them in the sack. Next, your child will need to come up with 2 clues about their 100 items. They can write these clues on the slip located on the bottom of the note that came home on Friday. :)
