Our Class Poetry Book

We are published POETS now!

Our Farm Research

Research is sooo COOL!
We went to the library for a week
and researched different farm animals.

We used the computers, i-pods, i-pads, and farm books
to find answers to many of our farm questions!
THEY did GREAT!

After our research, we recorded some of our findings using 4-square posters.
Here they are!

Farm Math

Check out our shape farm animals:

 Problem-Solving on the Farm:
We used our problem-solving skills to solve.
Look how AWESOME!!!

And more...

We LOVED retelling Mrs. Wishy-Washy using our picture cards.

If Mrs. Wishy-Washy made me take a bath,
this is what I would do...
Esther: "I would say thank you and get some bubbles."

Camden: "I would do a cannon-ball into the tub."

Aydin: "I would jump in!"

Leena: "I would run away."

Ashton: "I would jump in it."

Liam: "I would jump out!"

Tanner: "I would get Mrs. Wishy-Washy."

More Open House goodies!

You can't talk about farm life
without meeting Mrs. Wishy-Washy!

Joy Cowley, the author of the Mrs. Wishy-Washy texts,
created a playful character who loves her farm animals.
We enjoyed reading many of the Wishy-Washy books.

Take a look at our "Wishy-Washy" creations:

On Mrs. Wishy-Washy's farm, you would find muddy pigs!
We created our very own muddy pigs!

Can you describe mud?

Here are our muddy pigs and their mud poems.

How did we do it?
We colored our pigs pink!
Then, we painted over them with chocolate puddy!
YUMMY!

Welcome to the Farm-Open House!

We had a great time researching and learning
all about life on a farm.

Thank you all for coming to Open House too!
It was very exciting to see my students share their hard work!

Here is our bulletin board with our class animal-the cows!

After researching different farm animals, we interactively wrote a farm
animal class big book.

Different friends in our class created the illustrations.

Love all of my little authors!
