Boosterthon Fun Run

Making lists


In Writer's Workshop, we are working on writing a list.
We practiced making lists of our favorite foods, friends,
and a grocery story list for fun!
On Thursday, my writers got to create their very own lists.
We are loving list makin'!

Star of the Week--Aaron!

We are pleased to announce our friend, Aaron is our
Star of the Week  for November 9th-13th.





Here are a few of Aaron's favorite things:

Aaron is a super smart friend.
He likes to read and write.
Aaron also enjoys playing sports
with his friends.
We have enjoyed learning more

Nouns



Also, we are learning about nouns.
We know that nouns name people, places, and things.
Animals are also nouns!

Popping Adjectives


In grammar talks, we are learning about adjectives!
We popped and ate some YUMMY popcorn on Tuesday.
Then, we learned that adjectives are describing words.
We used different adjectives to describe the popcorn.

Animal Parts


Science was all about animal characteristics and parts!
We put together different animal puzzles with our 
tablemates. 




Adding Details to Our Writing

Writing this week was all about adding details.
We discussed different ways to add detail to our
pictures and writing pieces.
We are learning that adding details to our stories
make our stories better!

Also, my writers are learning that a good
story needs 3 important pieces:

-characters
-a setting
-events

Comparing Collections

In Math Workshop, we are working on comparing numbers to 10.
We counted collections and compared them.
We practiced our "math chat" too using words like:
-more than
-less than
-equal to


Visualizing in Problem Solving


During problem solving, we are practicing
how to visualize using different word problems.

Visualizing is when you make a picture or a movie
in your head of what you read or hear.
