Happy 100th Day of School!

We had a blast on the 100th day!!!
Check out my little 100 year old ladies...

My stars are so creative!
Here are some wonderful 100 Day t-shirts!

Who are those two old ladies?!?!
Mrs. Bennett and I had to get in on the action!

We enjoyed some 100 Day themed stations too!
We wrote 100 words and went on a scavenger hunt
for #1-100 around the room.
We made 100 day trail mix using groups of 10 too.

You have to make a 100 Day CROWN!!!

We used the number 100 to create a fun picture.
So creative!!!

Visualizing as We Read

We have been working on our visualizing skills during Reader's Workshop. We read some of our favorite stories and practiced visualizing what we read. Making images or a picture in our brain helps us to understand and to build our comprehension skills. Check out our visualizations!!!

We also read a few short poems and stories.
Check out the short story below and see how well
my readers put their visualizing skills to the work!
